Twenty-five years after an ecological collapse made the Earth uninhabitable, Mother, Father and Son find themselves locked in their luxury bunker, where they try to maintain hope and a sense of normalcy, sticking to the rituals of everyday life, the arrival of a stranger, Girl, turns their happy routine upside down. The son, a naive twenty-year-old young man who has never seen the outside world, is fascinated by the newcomer, and the thin bonds of blind optimism that have held this wealthy clan together suddenly begin to crumble. As tension rises, their seemingly idyllic existence begins to crumble, and long-suppressed feelings of remorse and resentment threaten to destroy the family’s fragile balance. But their reckoning with difficult truths also points to another way forward, based on acceptance, love and the ability to change.
