The actors were well chosen and strong
In “The Day of the Jackal” (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. Mentioned in “Graham Norton and the guests”: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Sirsha Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). A strong script, full of tension and good storytelling.
Fascinating to watch and pleasant
Eddie Redmayne was cold-blooded, calculating and intelligent. Despite the fact that he is the alleged thief, the audience can’t help but cheer him on in this cat-and-mouse story. The only exception was Lashana Lynch, who has absolutely no acting skills, emotions or facial expressions.
Her mannerisms were actually annoying
I don’t know how they chose her! I suppose it was more like a British check in their desire for diversity. Shame, because a strong main character could have pushed it around the world.
