The 2024 MLBB CN Pre-season Invitational kicked off today and will run until March 31st. This tournament has two stages. The first stage features eight teams: JDG, KBG, LL, MYG, NOVA, XYG, MXG, and MAX. After both stages are complete, the top-ranked teams will advance to the Esports World Cup (EWC) China Qualification Tournament, which will be held alongside with the Mid-Season Cup (MSC).
With promising professional opportunities, the MLBB CN Pre-season Invitational 2024 heads to China
With the launch of MLBB CN Esports in China, Mike Chu, the Head of this division, has shared his plans. He aims to quickly set up a strong competition structure for local teams, provide professional players with opportunities for competitive training, and deliver high-quality tournament content for players eagerly awaiting the arrival and testing of MLBB CN.
The initiative seeks to showcase the development, expertise, and promise of Chinese esports to a worldwide audience of over one billion gamers by offering professional opportunities for both emerging and prominent Chinese players. Furthermore, it aims to introduce a new mobile MOBA aspect to esports organizations and partners, collaborating closely with teams from more than 50 countries and regions to enable broader global prospects for partners.
Regarding the improvements Mike Chu expressed gratitude, stating, “We are grateful for the participation of prominent esports organizations in the MLBB CN pre-season phase. We look forward to seeing Chinese clubs and players showcase their talents on the global Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stage. We extend an invitation to esports teams and players to consider joining us on MLBB CN.”
China earns Two Slots in the Mid Season Cup of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Over the last couple of years, the world of mobile gaming has seen a massive rise in the popularity of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. In January 2024, both the game’s esports division and the Esports World Cup Foundation officially recognized it as the leading title for their events.
“NOVA Esports has always prioritised the growth and expansion of esports globally. Joining MLBB CN and learning more about the tournament and local esports roadmap has made us very optimistic about the path of its global esports ecosystem. We look forward to participating in the 2024 MLBB CN tournament, with a long-term goal in mind to win all related tournaments. Our current goal is to obtain a direct spot in the Esports World Cup (EWC) held in Saudi Arabia, represent China, and compete with many overseas rivals.”

By July, the Mid Season Cup and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational are set to begin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As part of the MSC Wild Card format and the main group stage event, China has been allocated two slots.
