Team Spirit worked hard to reach the second group stage of DreamLeague Season 22. Now they are in the middle of the points table trying to qualify for the playoffs. During one of their recent series in the second group stage, Spirit’s captain Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov talked about the challenges the team faced recently. He said the team did not have much time to prepare for DreamLeague Season 22. Their middle performance a few weeks ago at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 made it harder. At the same time, Miposhka noticed that Spirit is playing better as they get more practice matches.
Miposhka discusses Team Spirit’s results from DreamLeague Season 22 and beyond
Spirit had little time to prepare before DreamLeague Season 22 started which made things difficult, especially after their plans at BetBoom Dacha did not work out resulting in their fifth sixth place finish at that tournament.
“Our time to prepare was quite limited. We practiced for around two or three days, and also had some other tasks to accomplish. Though we weren’t completely focused on planning. At BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, our performance wasn’t great either: the plans we devised weren’t very effective, so we needed to rethink things and come up with something different.“
Though there may be an issue with concepts failing in DreamLeague as well, as more time is spent in the games, confidence grows.
“During Dream League Season 22 we often find that some heroes we want to choose don’t perform as well as hoped, so we must think of something different. But I believe with more practice, we gain more trust in certain selections and characters. I think we feel much better now than when DreamLeague Season 22 began, similar to how we felt at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 too.“
Spirit has found much achievement lately, yet they often begin competitions gradually. They tend to reach their top form near the major events, which regularly happen towards the latter part of the season when it matters most. While not lightningquick out of the gates, Spirit has shown an ability to ramp their game up over the course of a season and deliver strong performances when the stakes are highest.
Miposhka and his teammates will now center their efforts on ending in the top four positions in DreamLeague Season 22’s second group stage and qualifying for the playoffs. If they achieve this, Spirit often transforms into a much more powerful version of themselves, making them one of the more challenging teams.
