AIA learns the family’s behavior and begins to anticipate their needs
Tale
The Curtis family is chosen to test a new household appliance: a digital assistant called AIA. And it can make sure nothing – and no one – gets in their family’s way. Blumhouse Productions has been a driving force in the horror genre since Paranormal Activity became a worldwide sensation in 2007. See how IMDb users rate all of Blumhouse’s horror films since 2007. In the trailer, when the family opens the box and AIA appears for the first time, it says “Hello, world.” This is a reference to the first program most people write when learning to code or starting out with a new programming language. It’s one of the most basic programs you can write, and serves not only as a first step for beginners, but also as confirmation that the development environment is set up correctly. In the kitchen, Maud visibly unplugs AIA, but seconds later, when she orders AIA to turn on the light, AIA somehow gets plugged back in and obeys.

Cal: Ten points for Gryffindor! There’s a brief scene during the end credits. I Love YouWritten by Chris Weitz and Alex WestonPlayed by Alex Weston. I decided to watch this movie mainly because I noticed how polarized the IMDb audience reviews here are so far. Quite a lot of people loved it, quite a lot hated it. Often when I see something like this, I get the strong potential that this film is thought-provoking and will only work well with certain types of viewers. And well, I also NEVER put much stock in what the critics say, ESPECIALLY when it comes to intelligence.
and a whole host of other similar issues
Have you seen the crap they mostly call good or even great these days? If you like thought-provoking AI movies, then I think this one is really worth a look. Personally, I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would ever hire a security company or any other company to monitor their home. So for me, this movie is right up my alley in some ways. I also feel like we already trust technology way too much when it comes to bank accounts etc. and the abuse we all have to endure when it comes to online privacy/corporate information collection etc. So add in the aspect of advanced AI becoming more and more prominent in our world.
The film is certainly not great overall
For me, this movie was definitely worth watching. I’m sad to see that critics have already trashed it, especially considering the mind-numbing crap they often call passable. Audiences also seemed to mostly dislike it, but I think that’s mostly coming from the youth so far, which I think is perfectly understandable with them. For one thing, young people are much more familiar with the idea that AI is dangerous, so I feel like this film is just too familiar to their generation. However, the scenario and ideas presented all work quite well for a somewhat thought-provoking and relevant film for our times. For me, the film works quite well for the most part, despite some weak aspects here and there. I do think that the younger people may have already seen too many similar TV shows and films, though.
This has all been done better before
For most people over 30 with some interest, however, I would definitely recommend watching the film. It could be far more important than many currently believe. In my view, the topic of AI is not just about AI getting out of control. For me, the more dangerous aspect is certainly not the AI itself, but definitely the people behind the AI programs that are bigger concerns in the future… Note: I also watched M3GAN (2022), but I just felt that the film was far too regurgitated in terms of what it presented. There was little to nothing that made me think (mainly because I’ve seen the same basic plot in other movies).
